This is my new, simplified webshop. If you followed a link for a T-shirt, hoodie, or cycling cap, I’m afraid I stopped selling those.

GoCycle Multi-day cycle touring route guides

My GoCycle digital route guides are highly detailed, and are loaded with information about the area through which you will cycle. Not only will they keep you on track, but they can act like a digital tour guide.

All my GoCycle route guides have exactly the same price, £7.50 and they are all digital download products.

Why buy these?

Some of my route guides cover NCN routes, and you can get GPX files for such routes for free, off the Internet, so why would you spend money on these guides?

The answer is simple: every GoCycle route guide is a .ZIP file that contains a PDF of the route guide, as well as a GPX and a TCX file. The TCX files are absolutely loaded with additional information about the landscape through which you’ll be cycling.

For example, my Devon Coast To Coast guide not only tells you the route, the names of rivers you cross, and similar, but down to such detail that it will tell you when you’re cycling past the writing hut used by Henry Williamson, when he wrote Tarka The Otter. Obviously, that book is where the Tarka Trail gets its name from.

Tried and tested

Furthermore, I personally cycle every one of these routes, to quality-check them, and ensure you have the best route possible. Because of this, it takes, on average, well over 100 hours to create a single one of these guides. You get all that reward for the price of a coffee and a slice of cake (of which I hope you’ll have lots, when cycling these routes.

Even more functionality!

Finally, if you use my GoCycle route guides with the superb RideWithGPS app, you will have voice guidance in the app, even when using a free account.

That’s a LOT of value for a very low price!

Somerset Circle

This is a stunning, 100-mile circular route, that includes huge variation. Starting and ending at Bristol Temple Meads train station, you have cityscapes, the flat roads of the Somerset Levels, the challenges of the Mendip hills, several tunnels and various old railways to enjoy.
Here’s a write-up about the route.

Kennet & Avon Canal

This route forms part of NCN4, and sets off from Bristol Temple Meads train station, to end at Reading train station.
The route includes traffic-free old railways, stunning canal towpaths, hilly rural lanes and some more challenging bits.

I cycled this route with some friends.

Devon Coast To Coast

Also known as NCN 27, this is by a huge margin the most detailed guide for this stunning route available anywhere.

At just shy of 100 miles, this is a perfect weekend, or 3-day escape, through a stunning and extremely varied landscape. Roughly 70 of those miles are traffic-free, with the remainder on (usually) quiet rural lanes.

I love this route so much, I usually end up riding it at least once per year.

Four Ferries & Freedom

This challenging, but extremely rewarding route guide will take you from Penzance to Plymouth, along the stunning Cornish coastline.
You will escape the tourist trail, and visit quaint Cornish villages that are not over-run with with holiday makers.
Be prepared for some challenging hills, and steps along the route, but it’s so worth the effort!
This is when I cycled the route.
