Right, I've had enough!
I'm fed up to the high heavens with selfish carrots who park like absolutely self-entitled idiots. So much so that I had some stickers printed - those in the pic above.
|
No, I'm not being petty. Pavement parking requires people to also drive on the pavement, and that is dangerous. Between 2012 and 2018, in the UK, drivers killed an average of 42 pedestrians on the pavement. Those deaths include a 3yo girl run over and killed by a van driver parking on the pavement, but there are many similar, equally tragic stories in amongst those numbers.
Most people actually oppose pavement parking. Oh, and for the very few American readers, what we call "pavement", you call "sidewalk".
I expect you also get annoyed by selfish and inconsiderate parking. Usually, there's nothing we can do about it, other than shake our heads in disapproval. Until now, that is!
