The Spirit Of Adventure
Yes, a name-change! Why? Because I felt Spirit Of Adventure better sums up what this newsletter is meant to be about.
With the last email newsletter, I messed up! See, there's this technology to combat spam email, called SPF (Sender Policy Framework). SPF works like this: when I send an email to you (and a newsletter is done by email) your mail server will receive it, then do an SPF lookup against WillCycle.com. It will compare the results of that with the details of the sending server. If those match, the mail server will deliver the message to you, but if they don't match, it will simply destroy the message, believing it to be fake.
When I changed newsletter service provider (I'm now with MailPoet) it meant MailPoet's mail servers were sending out the emails. Only, I completely failed to update my SPF records, meaning most of you never received it directly.
Sorry about that (and the techie explanation!). I've since sorted it.
Other than that, I finally managed to catch COVID (sounds like I went looking for it, but believe me, the opposite is true!) I'm now at the tail end of it, having just come out of my (self-imposed) quarantine at the beginning of the week. Well, wasn't going to risk passing it on to others, now was I?
Oh, I have some great news, too. WillCycle has been listed by FeedSpot.com as the 16th topmost cycle touring blog. Yes, globally! I'm incredibly proud of that. You can see the full list here.

Will's Unexpected Bike Hack
If you ever fumbled, with fully-gloved hands, trying to open or close zips on your rain coat, you already know how annoying that can be.
Save yourself some trouble quite easily: from your nearest Pound shop, buy a pack of elastic hair bands. Feed them through the zip-puller, then through itself. Ta da! All your zips now will have pullers that are far easier to use with, or without gloves!
