Hayling Billy Line cycle route overall rating: ⭐⭐⭐
The Hayling Billy Line mostly follows the path of a disused railway, from Havant onto Hayling Island, South East Hampshire. It’s quite a short route, at just 5.6 miles, and that includes a short stretch on quiet lanes, to end at the Inn On The Beach.

Surface on the Hayling Billy Line cycle route
Around a third of the route is on tar, with the remainder on self-compacting gravel. The route is rideable all year round, but especially soon after having crossed the bridge it can be a bit narrow.
Bikes
Pretty much any type of bike can use the route, but trikes and cargo bikes need to be careful where it’s narrow.
Toilets
There are toilets at the train station, as well as at the pub on the beach.

From the trail you’ll have views across the water to Portsmouth.
